SPOKANE, Wash. – People in Spokane walked Saturday morning to attend the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event to support their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease.

More than 120,000 people in Washington and over 25,000 people in Idaho, 65 and older, are living with Alzheimer’s disease. For this reason, the Alzheimer’s Association holds a nationwide “Walk to End Alzheimer” every year to raise money for the care, support and research of the disease.

Over 650 people attended the event at Riverfront Park. Hikers carried a promised garden flower and walked two miles to support the organization’s research to find a cure.

The event raised over $ 86,000. Your year-end goal is $ 165,000.
