Parr Lumber acquires Roof Travers Supply
The Parr Company has completed the acquisition of Roof Truss Supply Inc., based in Woodinville, Washington.
Roof Truss Supply, also known as RTS, was founded by Paul Morris in 1972 and is operated by Tracy Rex. RTS employs 120 people at three locations, a half-timbered structure, a cutting / LBM factory in Woodinville and two door and milling factories in Everett and Puyallup, Washington. Roof Truss Supply has been a locally owned, family-run business for nearly 50 years, focusing on servicing professional contractors, single and multi-family homes, and commercial builders.
In 2020, The Parr Company’s leadership team, with the assistance of the Board of Directors, developed a three-year strategic vision. A major initiative was to expand the presence of roof and floor beam manufacturing, doors and mill work in the Pacific North.
“This addition will enable us to bring our products and services to customers in a new region of the Pacific Northwest and take another step towards providing all products and services to the construction industry from a single source,” said Mike Howell, CEO of The Parr escort.
Parr Lumber was founded in 1930 in Vancouver, Washington by Dwight Parr Sr. and is still a local family business. Michael Parr, Brad Farmer and Nancy Cranston, grandsons of the founder, play active roles within the Parr Company and carry on their proud family legacies. Headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, Parr is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of building materials.
Parr Company operates 44 facilities in Oregon and Washington, including professional and retail hardware stores, cabinet design centers, curtain doors and milling, truss and floor truss manufacturing facilities, and a wholesale hardware warehouse.
