SPOKANE, Washington – Be prepared for road changes the next time you pick up or drop someone off at Spokane International Airport.

The airport will open a 3,000-foot extension of the incoming Airport Drive to traffic on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

The extension will be just past Flint Road near the airport cell phone waiting area. Drivers can now reach the roadside area near the terminal building by driving straight ahead onto the new road in the right-hand lane.

Travelers who want to park or use transit to the terminal now use the left lane on the existing arriving Airport Drive to get to the outdoor parking lot or two garages.

There will be signage directing drivers to their desired locations. All passengers going to the airport in the next few weeks are asked to leave a few minutes earlier due to traffic changes.
