Briana Mullendore: The best habit is to use reusable bags from grocery shopping. In 2019 I only used five plastic bags. Fortunately, I can and can always recycle plastic bags. I use reusable silicone bags instead of plastic sandwich bags. Worst of all: go anywhere instead of using the bus. Sometimes I go, but I have to / want to walk more.

Charlotte Rogers Thacker: I am conscientious about many things. But I don’t use the bus, and that’s really ashamed. The bad practice that I keep being reminded of is the use of paper towels. I tear off small 2×4 pieces and sometimes smaller when it does the job, but I still feel guilty every time. If God intended us to desecrate forests and pollute our waterways with paper towels, she would not have invented the tea towel.

Carrie Clark Hawkins: I try to recycle everything. I rinse, remove labels if possible, and separate them like the cardboard around some plastic containers. I wish companies would make this easier. What I can not do? Use reusable bags. I try to reuse shopping bags but not always the best.

Anna Beer: Best of all: Turn old stuff into new, especially random junk in art projects. Worst of all: use disposable diapers instead of cloth on our toddler.

Steve Peck: Best of all: Started using fabric shopping bags over 40 years ago. Worst of all, buy everything in glass bottles and know that very little glass is recycled.

Brandon Warren: Best of all: I recycle. I am also planting a pollinator garden. Worst of all: I take a long shower. I think about everything in the shower.

Bre Hatcher: Best of all: Always collect extra rubbish when looking for, fishing or spending time in the great outdoors. Worst of all: buying products with a range of packaging.

Tiffany Brown: Not my bad habit … my husband drives me crazy about recycling. He refuses to take the lid off the bottle or jar that is supposed to be recycled !! I think my habit follows it to take it off. ♦
