Night Out event planned Tuesday in Everett | News

The Bedford County Chamber Foundation, along with the Everett Police Department, other law enforcement, first responders, and community organizations and corporations, will celebrate the National Night Out on South Street on Tuesday.

The Chamber Foundation and Thomas Subaru sponsor activities that provide an opportunity for the community / county to come together to promote safe and caring neighborhoods. The event includes many of the area’s police forces, as well as first responders, county services, community organizations, churches, businesses, and more.

More than 38 million neighbors in more than 16,000 communities across the United States participate in the annual program, which promotes police-community partnerships and community fellowship to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring.

Some of the event features include:

• Meet local law enforcement officers and tour vehicles.

• Everett Fire Department Vehicle Extraction.

• Pennsylvania Game Commission.

• McGruff the crime hound.

• Photo opportunities for children.

• Safety demonstrations.

• Child ID from your safe haven.

• Bedford County Wilderness Search Team.

• Displays, games, activities, and giveaways from local agencies, organizations, and businesses.
