Mount Everett Girls Shut Out Mount Greylock / iBerkshires.com

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Hudah Ngoy Nkulu scored 10 seconds left in the first half and Emma Goewey made 13 saves to improve the lead as the Mount Everett girls’ soccer team beat Mount Greylock 1-0 on Sunday.

Mount Everett coach Joshua King said he was proud of his team, which played a full game on Senior Day in Sheffield.

“Mount Greylock are a very skilled team and ended up playing most of the game, but just before halfway there was a loose ball that Hudah found in the center of the box and buried it home with her left foot,” said King.

Mount Greylock put on two goalkeepers – Delaney Babcock, who came on in the first half, and Briana Dowling. They made four parades together.

Mount Everett (1-3) goes to Berkshire Community College to play Taconic on Monday.

Mount Greylock (7-3) will attempt a two-game skid at home against Pittsfield on Tuesday.
