Mike Richards in talks to host ‘Jeopardy!’ – Everett Post

Mike Richards is in “advanced negotiations” to become the new host of Jeopardy! to become, reports Variety. The classic game show was previously directed by for 36 years Alex Trebekwho died of pancreatic cancer in November 2020 at the age of 80.

After Trebek’s last episode, Jeopardy! recruited a rotation of prominent restaurateurs, including Ken Jennings, Aaron Rodgers, Robin Roberts, Anderson Cooper, Take Burton and more to hold the fortress while they searched for a permanent replacement.

A Sony Pictures spokesman did not want to comment on Richards, but told the point of sale that they were talking to several potential candidates. However, a source said that Richards is leading the field.

For his part, Richards already has experience hosting the game shows Divided and The Pyramid. He also hosted the reality shows High School Reunion and Beauty and the Geek. Aside from hosting gigs, Richards has also worked as an executive producer on shows like Let’s Make a Deal and the celebrity version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
