Mary Danielson Obituary (2022) – Everett, WA

Mary Jane Danielson passed peacefully at the age of 81.

As an avid lover of the outdoors, she could be found skiing, camping and hiking in such places as the enchantments here in Washington and all the way to the Alps in Austria. In addition, she was an accomplished seamstress. She and her “adopted” daughter Angie Morehouse spent hours sewing Angie’s beautiful wedding gown. She also made household items such as pillowcases and potholders and even unique flags to use as markers for crab pots. She also loved to try new things and could be found in pottery and jewelry making classes with her sister and friends.

Mary Jane graduated from Washington State University in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree which she put to good use working as a Nutritionist for the Heart Association. She eventually found her calling working for WIC in Seattle and King County where she helped and influenced many young women. She married Daniel Danielson in April of 1962 before his deployment with the Navy.

She is preceded in death by her son, Andrew Danielson. She is survived by her husband Daniel Danielson, son Eric Danielson, daughter-in-law Lainie (Rau) Danielson, grandson Cameron Gamble and siblings Earl Dawley, Lewis Dawley and Rosanne (Dawley) Middleton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Timothy Lutheran Church: 16431 52nd Ave W, Edmonds WA, 98026. Reception to follow.
