Marie was born in Juneau, Alaska to Steve f. DeLeon and Hilda M. Kashevaros. She was the oldest of 7 children. Her family moved to Petersburg, Arkansas where she grew up. Marie graduated in Ketchikan, Arkansas. She later married in Wrangell, where she lived for a while before moving to Ketchikan and back to settle in Petersburg, where she divorced and raised two children by herself, a son Jeff and daughter Tammy. Marie moved to anchorage to further her schooling in accounting. She lived in anchorage for a while where she met her other half, Bob, and finally moving to Spokane where she started working for Lincare and they bought their first house.
Marie enjoyed being closer to her favorite teams. The Seattle Sea Hawks and baseball team the Seattle Mariners. She loved going to the games, when able, and yelling until she was hoarse. When she retired, she loved putting her puzzles together and she always had one out on a piece of cardboard for whomever, to work on when over. She also liked going to the casino, road trips, the lake and camping. She also enjoyed playing with the great grandkids, visiting with people and of course, her books. She loved reading and trading in her books and going to the library with her granddaughters.
Marie is survived by her other half, Robert Trickey, her son, Jeff, wife Susan and three granddaughters: Laurel, Bridget, and Anna. Her Daughter Tammy, partner Russell and two grandsons; Justin and Joshua, 2 granddaughters; Tamra and Ashley, 2 great granddaughters Neveah and Amelia and 3 great grandsons; Ajay, Wyatt, and Carson. Her sisters Barb, husband Gary Parker and Margaret Wells, friend Robert Rabe. Her Brother Carlos Rico DeLeon, wife Karen and many Nieces and Nephews. Lots of friends including Rick Parkins and Jason Remley. So, her dogs, Chevy, and Charlie. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 great grandson.
Marie’s Celebration of life will be on September 24, 2022, at 1:00 pm. (place is to be determined) Questions, contact daughter Tammy (509)768-4633. Hope you can make it. Be sure to sign the guest book as well!
