Larsen to Tour New Everett Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, Discuss Veterans Employment with WorkSource Snohomish County

EVERETT, WA – Tuesday, August 23, Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) wants to join VA Puget Sound Executive Director Dr. Tom Bundt and staff for a tour of the new Everett Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The 26,000-square-foot CBOC, which opens for in-person care in mid-September, will bring quality, accessible health care and services closer to roughly 8,000 North Sound veterans.

Larsen will then meet with representatives from WorkSource Snohomish County to discuss the challenges faced by veterans seeking employment opportunities in Snohomish County. WorkSource Snohomish County will be hosting its Regional Job & Resource Fair on Wednesday, August 31, at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Marysville with more than 60 employers planning to attend.

A senior member of the Armed Services Committee, Larsen is committed to ensuring the women and men who have served in uniform have access to the resources and services they need. Earlier this month, President Biden signed into law the Honoring Our PACT Act, legislation Larsen supported to ensure veterans exposed to burn pits and toxic substances like Agent Orange and PFAS can access the care and benefits they need. Last year, Larsen and Senator Patty Murray introduced legislation to ensure fertility treatments, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), and counseling are included as part of servicemembers’ and veterans’ health benefits.

A Grand Opening for the Everett CBOC is set from 10 to 11 on August 30, 2022. Senator Patty Murray will be the guest speaker.
