Killer Burger opens in Portland’s vibrant Slabtown neighborhood

PDX-born burger brand is coming soon to NW 23rd in the heart of the lively residential and entertainment district

September 07, 2021 // Franchising.com // PORTLAND – Killer Burger, PDX’s popular burger brand, has announced the upcoming opening of a new location in its hometown. The renowned restaurant “Best Burger in Portland” * will soon open its fifth location in the city of Portland in the Slabtown district, 1620 NW 23rd, in the middle of the popular dining, shopping and entertainment district. This will also be the brand’s 13th location in the region.

Located in the trendy Slabtown neighborhood between Raleigh and Savier, the 2,300-square-foot space is near the intersection of I-405 and Route 30 and Portland Streetcar, making them easily accessible for those on the subway. Fans can expect a grand opening on Wednesday, September 8th.

“Slabtown is one of the top dining areas in Portland right now. It was important for us to add another location to this district and to further strengthen the connection between Killer Burger and our hometown, ”said TJ Southard, founder and CEO of Killer Burger. “Cant wait to welcome customers to NW 23rd to sit down, relax, and enjoy a burger and beer.”

As with all Killer Burger locations, the NW 23rd restaurant offers its customers a mix of classic and original flavors on its menu. Each burger is carefully crafted for a unique taste profile and an exceptional eating experience. A selection of local craft beers and ciders are also available on tap to add a refreshing addition to any meal.

According to the health guidelines, employees and customers at the new location must wear protective masks until further notice. The restaurant follows strict cleaning protocols as per government recommendations.

This is the brand’s tenth company-owned location. There are three franchise restaurants and two non-traditional stores in Providence Park and Moda Center. A fourth franchise location will open before the end of the year in Idaho, bringing the total number of stores to sixteen as Killer Burger expands through strategic franchising across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
