John Nethercot Obituary (1940 – 2022) – Everett, WA

After a full life of over 81 years, John W. Nethercot passed away peacefully on the 4th of February in Arlington, Washington, he was surrounded with love by his wife, Nancy.

John was born to Earl and Lois Nethercot in Oklahoma City in 1940, but spent the majority of his younger years being raised in Kansas with his 6 brothers and sisters. He lived an extraordinary life which began with his time in the Army and being stationed in Germany, to becoming a horse jockey to ultlimately working for Boeing in both the Wichita and Washington area plants. He retired from Boeing after decades of service and enjoyed retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with friends and family as well as fishing, collecting knives and coins. With his infectious smile and extroverted personality, whether you were at a local cafe or in the post office, he always stopped to say hello. He now rests among the heavens and with the Lord.

John is survived by his wife, Nancy as well as his brothers and sisters; Jim, Jerry, Joe, Jack, Jean and Linda. John and Nancy were blessed with three kids, Julie, Blake and Jeff as well as 7 grandkids and one great grandson.

Visitation for John Nethercot will be held on Friday, February the 25th from 2-4 pm at Solie Funeral Home in Everett. He will be laid to rest at the Tahoma National Cemetary in Kent Washington on March the 4th at 11 am.
