Jason “Redneck” Everett O’Connor, 44, of Cedar Rapids, died at St. Lukes Hospital at 5:15 pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021. The Celebration of Life takes place on Friday, July 23, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brosh Chapel and the Avacentre in Cedar Rapids at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Jason’s last ride begins July 24th at 2:00 PM from Brosh Chapel and heads to the North Point Bar, located at 621 Center Point Road. NE where his celebration of life will begin

3 p.m. on Saturday.

Jason was born on July 4, 1977 in Cedar Rapids to John R. and Judy (Pulda) O’Connor. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School, class of 1996. Jason was married to Amanda Watson on May 31, 2008. Jason worked at Whirlpool for nearly 15 years and currently worked at Van Meter Co Harley, chatting with his many friends and mostly spending time with his family, especially his children.

Jason is survived by his children Jacob, Aubree, and Jett; his mother Judy Kaufman; his brother John (Tammy) O’Connor; his niece Megan Valentine; his nephew Josh O’Connor; his aunt Patty Honn; Cousins; and someone very special to Jason, Ryder.

His father preceded him in death; his stepfather, Dave Kaufman; his firstborn, Jackson O’Connor; His grandparents; his uncles Gary Honn and Butch Pulda; and his aunt Linda “Cookie” Chesmore.

A memorial fund is set up in his name for his children.
