In fond memory of Allen Douglas Sevier: 1921-2021

Allen Douglas Sevier, formerly of Ridgefield, died on November 15, 2021 in Spokane, Washington, six weeks before his 100th birthday. Allen was born on December 28, 1921 in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Wallowa County, Oregon and Berkeley, California. During World War II he served in the United States Marine Corps, which was mainly stationed in San Francisco.

Often known by his nickname Gus, Allen worked as a rancher, used vehicle appraiser and eventually malting manager for Great Western Malting in Vancouver, where he retired in 1984. He married the love of his life, Ellen Patricia Davies, on November 11, 1948. Known to almost everyone as Pat, she died in 2008.

He leaves behind son Jeff and daughter-in-law Nancy from Simi Valley, California, and daughter Leslie Sherman from Cusick, Washington, as well as grandsons Matt Sherman from Spokane, Washington, Mellany Risdal from Akron, Iowa, Ben Sevier from New York City, New York, Chris Sevier of Montgomery, New York, and six great-grandchildren. There are no funeral services planned.
