How Pedro and River’s Bromance Blossomed

At The Family Chantel, Pedro Jimeno and River Everett weren’t always friends. Now they are finally indulging in a real bromance.

Pedro Jimeno and River Everett The Chantel family finally get along, and it’s time to talk about how their bond evolved. Their relationship got off to a rocky start when Chantel Everett and Pedro first married. The brothers-in-law even got into a physical argument at the beginning of the series. Now, after years of getting to know each other, the guys finally seem to be on one side.

In The Family Chantel’s recent history, River and Pedro have been on the same page in a number of family conflicts. There was great family tension at the wedding of River’s older brother Royal Everett in the Philippines. Chantel and her mother, Karen Everett, were suspicious of Royal’s new bride, believing she was fishing for an American man to help fund their family. Likewise, Chantel and Karen are overly critical of Winter Everett’s friend Jah. After a private investigator revealed that Jah had a son he never told Winter about, their relationship was never the same. With so much controversy in the air, Pedro and River stayed out of the fight.

River and Pedro were sent on a mission by Karen who wanted them to cut a Christmas tree together. Pedro joked that he didn’t want to lose fingers. Fortunately, River was there to keep an eye on him. After five years of resolving their problems, the in-laws valued each other like never before. As River said, “Brothers are doing it.” Now that River had a new girlfriend, Pedro was ready to offer some fraternal advice. River had hidden Megan from Chantel or Karen.

Pedro then warned, “Brother, get ready, justice is coming. Your mother is coming.” The men admitted that the women in the family don’t listen to River the way Pedro’s mother and sister listen to Pedro. River is the youngest in his family while Pedro is the oldest. After Pedro asked if Rivers new girlfriend was American, River clarified that it was her and stated that he didn’t want to follow the same complicated path as his siblings. After the boys finished talking, River said, “It’s a big tree.” Pedro replied: “That’s what she says, brother.” What is brotherly love if not a time for provocative jokes?

When River shared the news with the family, Pedro couldn’t help but smile while curled up in the corner. Megan and River are now officially on Instagram, but the new bromance has yet to be added online. After a long walk, even Karen said, “It’s a breath of fresh air that River and Pedro get along.” The brothers-in-law are fortunate to have each other. Now that Royal and Jah are out of the picture, the boys realize that enjoying their bromance will be even easier. The Chantel family was overdue for some family love.
