House fire in East Spokane displaces four, causing $ 500,000 damage | news

SPOKANE, Washington – Four residents were evicted Saturday night after a house fire in east Spokane burned two homes and caused approximately $ 500,000 in damage.

When the Spokane Fire Department reached a house on Nelson and Euclid, two houses were in flames. The apartment in which the fire started was on fire and the flames had already spread to the attic of the second home.

No one was seriously injured, although one person was treated on site for smoke inhalation and was released.

Four adults, two dogs and two cats were evicted, according to SFD.

SFD’s Specials Investigations Unit is working to find out what caused the burn.
