SPOKANE, Wash. — An art reception at Spokane Falls Community College is recognizing the work of Chad “Little Coyote” Yellowjohn.

He’s a Washington native with ties to the Shoshone-Bannock and Spokane Tribes.

He’s debuting his visual art exhibit, “Masked Preservation” at Spokane Falls Community College and you can visit on Monday, October 10 (Indigenous People’s Day) for an art talk and grass dance featuring Yellowjohn’s family.

Yellowjohn says “Masked Preservation” is inspired by Indigenous culture throughout the years and the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on Indigenous people.

The art reception at Spokane Falls Community College will be at 11:30 am at the Fine Arts Building at 3410 W Whistalks Way.
