Harry Everett Buck Jr.

Harry Everett Buck Jr., 85, of Belpre died June 2, 2022, at Rockland Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Belpre.

Harry was born on Aug. 13, 1936, in Wood County, WV, and was the son of the late Harry E. Sr. and Elsie G. Smith Buck.

Harry was a 1954 graduate of Vincent High School. He was a lifetime member of Porterfield Baptist Church and was a member of Masonic Lodge 3 and Scottish Rite in Parkersburg. Harry loved the outdoors and watching the birds, deer and turkey from his porch, with his dog Roxie by his side. He never met a stranger and loved talking and spending time with friends and his family. Harry had worked 20 years as a machinist for Union Insulating as a tool and die builder. He then worked for the Millwright Local 1755, working construction until his retirement in 1999.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marilyn “Sue” Elder Buck whom he married on March 20, 1959; son Charles Harry Buck (Patricia) of Marietta and several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons Ronald G. and Michael E. Buck; sister Mary C. Turner and his uncle and aunt who he lived with and helped rear him Guy R. and Geraldine Smith.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 2 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Rev. Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery with full Masonic services by Masonic Lodge 3. Visitation will be held Monday 4 pm-8 pm
