Gary Numan shares new single Saints And Liars

Gary Numan has released his new single “Saints And Liars”.

The ‘Cars’ hit maker shared the latest track on his upcoming LP ‘Intruder’, a compilation about the potential of an apocalypse and people invading the earth.

Speaking of the trail, Numan said, “’Saints And Liars’ is the earth that draws attention to our blind belief in religion in a fictional god who in reality does nothing for us while abusing and destroying the planet. that does everything for us. “

The electronic music pioneer previously released the album’s title track and the single ‘I Am Screaming’.

On the subject of the recording, he said: “’Intruder’ looks at climate change from the perspective of the planet. If the earth could speak and feel the way we do, what would it say? How would it feel? The songs mostly try to be that voice or at least express what I believe the earth needs to feel right now.

“The planet sees us as its children who have now grown into callous selfishness with total disregard for its well-being. It feels betrayed, hurt, and devastated. Disaffected and heartbroken, it is now fighting back.

“In essence, the human species sees it as a virus attacking the planet. Climate change is the undeniable sign that the earth is saying enough is enough and that it is finally doing what it needs to do to get rid of us, and it explains why it feels it has to do it. “

The 63-year-old star wrote the majority of his songs in Lockdown, which has given him a lot of inspiration, including the new track, ‘The Gift,’ which he interprets as the way the planet is exterminating humanity.

Other pieces – including “Ain’t This World Enough” and “A Black Sun” – explore how the pandemic could have been avoided, and “Now and Forever” offers its fans hope.

‘Intruder’ – the sequel to ‘Savage: Songs From A Broken World’ from 2017 – is out on May 21.
