On Friday July 9, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance teams will be moving up to three lanes of traffic on I-5 south north of I-5 / Interstate 205, which is near mile post 8.0 and the driveway of the Northeast 179th Street after. parts, close southbound I-5 to repair and replace several broken concrete slabs along the highway.

While the ramp is closed, travelers must choose an alternative route.

Construction details

  • Start Friday, July 9th, 10:30 pm, to Saturday, July 10th, 7:00 am: Up to three lanes of I-5 southbound, north of I-5 / I-205, which split near mile post 8.0 and the driveway from Northeast 179th Street to I-5 southbound, will be overnight closed for repair and replacement work on concrete slabs.
