Everett Maurice Bangert – Clay City

Everett Maurice Bangert, 81 years old, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

He was born on December 31, 1939 in Ingraham, Illinois, to John O. and Ruby I. (Cochran) Bangert. He was married to Kaaren J. Osborn on May 30, 1958, and together they shared 63 wedding anniversaries.

Maurice was born and raised in the Ingraham oil field. His life’s work revolved around the oil industry and agriculture. He was an avid nature lover and enjoyed a good game of cards. He was delighted that his daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were hunting deer and turkeys on the family farm. Maurice didn’t think he would like golf, but when he was finally convinced to give it a try, he and Kaaren had many years of golfing adventures.

Fighting pulmonary fibrosis, Maurice often commented on the excellent medical care he received, noting that he had had a disease with a life expectancy of 5 years for the past 8 years.
