Elisabeth Kakala Obituary (1941 – 2021) – Everett, WA

Elisabeth Fernande Kakala (Schmid) died on her 80th birthday, April 23, 2021, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

Born on April 23, 1941 in Courrendlin, Switzerland

Elisabeth (Liz) moved to Seattle, Washington in 1960 and started her family. She dedicated her life to her three children and created many wonderful childhood memories for us. Many of them camped and fished. She was a great cook and had a great passion for gardening. She really lived life to the fullest by simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, and doing puzzles. She loved being around her grandchildren. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in deeply positive ways, with quick wit and an amazing sense of humor.

You never left the room without her expressing her sweet love for you.

She will be missed very much.

Elisabeth was preceded in death by her husband Russell, daughter Tania, parents Arthur Schmid and Hedwige Verdon, three brothers Germain, Michael and Martial.

She is survived by her sister Denise Béguelin, her daughter Anita Bernardi (husband Mike), her son Raymond and her stepson Russell Kakala, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
