Edward Wetzel Obituary (1926 – 2022) – Marysville, WA

Ed Wetzel born in Yakima, Washington on December 18, 1926 and died June 19,2022 at 95 years young.
Korean war vet spending 2 years in the Army, he was proud of his service but emphasized he was happy to end his service time. Special place for him was his cabin on Camano Island at Camp Grandee which he shared with family. He was at his happiest by the water. He also took great pride in his yard and gardens. His front porch was a gathering place for neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois and daughter Sandee Jo.
Ed is survived by his 3 sons and their families, Mike (Michelle), Steve (Roxanne), Dave (Barb), 4 grand kids, Mindee, Jake (Jenica), Jennifer (Marlon), Whitney (Dave), 7 great grands , Brynn, Kyle, Carter, Pryce, Preslie, Amanda, Paige. He also leaves his sister Lois Bates and a bunch of nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Eddy.
Dad worked for Scott Paper most of his career and retired in 1988. He was friendly, likeable and had the ability to focus on a project or thought like no one we ever knew. His advice was always sound and common sense led the way. He will be missed and talked about often with memories to hold on to.
Special thanks to his kind neighbors Ed and Al and Vicky who watched over Dad and made his life easier.
We love you Dad.
A private graveside service will be held for Ed at Marysville Cemetery.
