Donna Dallman Obituary (1955 – 2021) – Everett, WA

Donna (Walsh) Dallman

Donna Mae Dallman died on April 10th after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Donna was born on May 17, 1955 to Willard and Edna Walsh of Everett. Donna attended St. Mary Magdalen School, Cascade High School, and Everett Community College. Donna married Frank Dallman on February 9, 1974. Donna leaves Frank after 47 years of marriage. Together they have four children, Gene, Aaron, Kristen, Keely and eight grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Clyde.

Donna met Frank through the Everett Mountaineers. Together they climbed many peaks including Glacier, Pugh, Rainier, Three-Fingers, Index, Baring, Forgotten and DelCampo. Their favorite climb together was Glacier Peak.

Donna loved gardening and had a green thumb. She was constantly adding both plants and quirky characters to her garden. Donna found many of her quirky characters at the Goodwill Outlet, where she found countless other treasures.

Donna loved to cook and was a great cook. She made the best apple pie. Donna collected cookbooks and her collection numbers over 125. Donna cooked with her grandchildren and showed them how to roll out pie crust and sugar cookies. She always thought of her grandchildren when she went to the Goodwill Outlet looking for treasure.

Donna taught herself to knit and made an Irish kinit sweater at the age of fourteen. She was also an accomplished seamstress and machine embroidered. Donna paid special attention to everything she did. Her homemade jellies always featured lidded dolls trimmed with lace she had made on her embroidery machine.

Donna loved living on Flowing Lake, where she and Frank built their house on the spot where their children’s hut had been. Donna loved being on the lake, just swimming, swimming, or fishing.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Donna enjoyed the hope of being resurrected to eternal life, as recorded in John 3:16. This reads: For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him should not be destroyed but have eternal life.

Donna’s family would like to thank the Everett Clinic – Oncology Department, the Providence Hospice, and especially the brothers and sisters of the Monroe Jehovah’s Witness community for all of their timeless efforts.

A Zoom memorial is planned for May 1st.
