Domestic violence suspect detained near Crestline St.

SPOKANE, Wash. – A person who caused a stalemate in the Hillyard neighborhood surrendered without incident late Monday night.

Spokane police and the SWAT team spent several hours Monday in a house near Crestline Street and Columbia Avenue. According to the police, the suspect is said to have violated a ban on contact early Monday.

Spokane police said the man refused to come out. People in the neighborhood received several emergency alerts asking them to stay indoors.

The Columbia to Cook Crestline has reopened.
