Curtis “Scott” Reid

Curtis “Scott” Reid, 57, of Longview, Washington was born on October 14, 1963 to Harold Lloyd Reid and Jo Ann Reid. Scott lost his longstanding battle with COPD on August 14, 2021 in the intensive care unit at Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington.

Scott was the 7th of 8 children. In death his father Harold Lloyd Reid precedes him; his sister Rebecca Jo Reid; and brothers Clint and Calvin Reid.

He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Reid of Longview; his sister Marlene Romag from Longview; Brother Cory Reid of Gladstone, Oregon; Brothers Clay and Chris Reid of Longview. As well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as great-great-nephews.

Born and raised in Longview, Scott attended RA Long High School during his junior year, then trained in Chehalis, Washington to be a hairdresser. Later in life, he moved to Missouri for 13 years and became a bartender, then moved back to Longview to be close to loved ones. Scott enjoyed visiting family and friends while he was known for making everyone around him laugh. He also enjoyed gardening outside and helping out when someone needed it. Scott will be very missed by everyone who knew him.

A potluck dinner will take place at Moose Lodge on September 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Please join us in remembering and paying your final respects to Scott.
