Crews respond to multiple fires in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fires. No injuries were reported at this point.

SEATTLE – The Seattle Fire Department responded early Wednesday morning to two building fires that were in Queen Anne blocks apart.

Seattle Fire first tweeted about the fires at around 3:15 a.m.

One fire was in a building under construction near Highland Dr and Taylor Ave N and the other fire was near Prospect and 6th Avenue in a garage identified by the Seattle Fire as “a seemingly empty house” attached house was attached.

Both fires were under control by 4 a.m.

A KING 5 viewer who shared a video of the fires said police reacted multiple times to remove squatters living in one of the buildings.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the two fires. No injuries were reported at this point.

The Tukwila fire brigade also reacted to several vehicle fires in Block 800 of Industry Dr. The cause of the vehicle fires is also currently unknown.

The crews also responded to a major three-alarm structural fire in downtown Olympia on Wednesday morning.
