Craig Everett Tabbed Queensborough Interim Head Baseball Coach

Queensborough Athletics is pleased to announce the return of Craig Everett as Interim Head Baseball Coach at Queenborough Community College.

Coach Everett returns to Bayside after 13 years as the baseball head coach at NCAA Division II Concordia College, NY. He set an overall record of 190-286-2 while leading the Clippers to five conference tournaments, finishing with a conference record of .500 or better in six different seasons. In 2013 he was named CACC Trainer of the Year after a 13-7 finish in Conference Play. During his tenure in Bronxville, 18 Clippers were recognized by all conferences, with two players receiving CACC Player of the Year awards in his 13 seasons. Under his leadership, his players also excelled in the classroom. Three Clippers received Daktronics All-Region Academic Honors, two received NCBWA All-Region Recognition, and one received D2CCA All-Region status.

Prior to Concordia, Coach Everett led the program here at QCC for seven successful seasons including winning the CUNYAC championships in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2008. He was named CUNYAC Coach of the Year in 2005 as the Tigers win the region would XV championship and a place in the NJCAA Division III World Series that season.

“We are very happy to have found a trainer from Craig’s references so shortly before the start of the semester,” added Athletics Director Jon Hochberg. “He has a proven track record of producing teams that perform in the field and in the classroom, and his teams have clearly excelled during his previous tenure here in Queensborough. We look forward to the return of baseball after the last two seasons were canceled due to the pandemic and Craig is the right coach to bring us back. “

Coach Everett is also president of Team New York Cardinals, an amateur baseball nonprofit, where he works directly with young players ages 12-18. While leading the Cardinals, Everett led them to the 1998 World Series of the US Amateur Baseball Federation in San Diego, California.

Everett is a two-time St. John’s University graduate who received his bachelor’s degree in 1999 and a dual master’s degree in special and elementary education in 2010.
