Charlotte Cooney was born in Goldendale on July 4, 1935. She passed away on February 21,2022, in Vancouver, Washington.

Her mother, Sylvia, remarried, and she gained a stepfather in Paul Weiss. Charlotte was joined by siblings Donna, Beverly, Floyd, and Keith. She had loving grandparents and a special uncle, Floyd Hamllik. She also grew up surrounded by many cousins ​​and aunts and uncles. Charlotte with her future husband, John (Bud) Cooney, in Goldendale at the roller skating rink. They were married in 1957 and stayed happily married until his passing in 2014. Bud was the love of her life and she missed him dearly. They had two daughters, Jill and Johnna.

In 1964 the family moved from Klickitat County to Ridgefield, Washington, where they could raise their girls in the country. In 1971 they moved to Vancouver, Washington. Charlotte went to work for the Washington State Blind and Deaf schools in Food Service until retiring in 1995.

Charlotte enjoyed aerobics for over 20 years, loved going out to lunch with her friends, spending many fun hours with them. She loved her family so much. She is survived by her daughters Jill Allison and Johnna (Larry) Kalteich; and also grandchildren Jason( Minjeong) Spiekerman, Kaila( Abraham) Hernandez, James (Emily) Kalteich, John (Brandi) Kalteich, Joseph Kalteich, and Jordan( Jennifer) Kalteich; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday, March 2, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, Washington.
