It’s the holiday season, and what better way to celebrate it than attending this year’s Wintertide Festival and Market this Saturday in downtown Everett. The festival this year is well underway, with the Wintertide tree lighting ceremony taken place on November 25th. The market returns this year with an even bigger lineup of holiday happenings this season. The Everett Makers Market has curated over 50 local makers with unique holiday gifts for sale. Attendees can also expect food trucks, live holiday music, Santa photos, cookies and cocoa, adult beverages, and much more.
The Maker’s Market is set inside large, festively decorated canopies, allowing guests to stay dry while also experiencing the holiday charm and feel of an outdoor market. As mentioned previously, the market will feature over 50 local artists and makers, ranging from painters, jewelry crafters, candle makers and more. The Wintertide Festival will also feature holiday themed performances inside the Cope Gillette Theatre. While guests are getting warm, they can see music performances by the Lake Stevens High School Jazz Band, The Seattle Children’s Chorus, the Everett Chorale, and more. Guests can catch the Olympic Ballet’s Nutcracker at the Everett Performing Arts Center at 2:00 pm or 7:00 pm. This is a ticketed event; prices range from $25 to $39 and can be purchased here.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper holiday festival without an appearance from the big man in red. Santa will be available to take pictures with attendees from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Guests are required to bring their own camera or smartphone for the photo session, which is being provided by Everett Santa Photos. Food and drinks will also be available at multiple food trucks, and adults can enjoy mulled wine or crafter beer in the Wintertide beer garden presented by Village Theatre.
The Wintertide Festival Market is expected to draw a large crowd, but don’t worry because parking will be available. It is encouraged to save street parking for those with limited mobility, while other guests can park for free at Everett’s Everpark which is within close distance to the festival.
