Sitting down with a comedian Kevin Hart On his new Peacock talk show, Hart to Heart, the Golden Globe nominated actress shares that she has retired from acting, a decision she made about eight years ago at the age of 40 when she discovered that she didn’t want to give up control of certain aspects of her life to others.

“I realized that I was looking around and there were so many parts of my life that I wasn’t touching and that I couldn’t make it and I couldn’t really make it because it was so big,” says Diaz, adding that doing acting “Fun, I love it”.

Cameron made the decision at the time she met her husband Benji Maddenwho she married in 2015. The couple later greeted their daughter Raddix in 2019.

“All those things that I didn’t have time for before and not only didn’t have the time, but also didn’t have the space to make the right decisions for myself to bring that in,” continues Diaz. “I really wanted my life to be doable for me. My routine in a day is literally what I can do on my own. It’s the best feeling. I feel whole. ”
