He was born on April 12, 1946, the eldest son of Bruce E. and Marilyn Anderson (both deceased). To say he enjoyed life would be a gross understatement. His interests were broad and deep and his desire to explore the possibilities of life was immense.

Bruce loved God first. He also loved his wife Phyllis and all his children, family and friends. He was ready for a conversation with every person he met. A good topic would be sports… gophers, vikings, twins and timber wolves… it doesn’t matter. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to travel, entering all 50 states and vacationing in Europe, South America, Japan and South Africa. In 1970 he was involved in an archaeological project in Jerusalem.

Following in his father’s footsteps, he was an Eagle Scout along with several other members of his family.

Bruce received his chemistry degree from the University of Minnesota in 1968. He also earned a bachelor’s degree from Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas in 1971. He then spent eight years in the full-time ministry in Columbus, Ohio, and Connecticut.

In 1979, he began his long, distinguished career at Anderson Chemical, spending the last more than 30 years at the helm of the company’s largest division – Cleaning and Hygiene.

Bruce is survived by his wife and soulmate Phyllis Anderson of Litchfield; Children, Kimberly Anderson of Vancouver, Washington, Bruce Ryan Anderson of Raleigh, North Carolina, Vaughn (Alyssa) Anderson of Cokato, Lochlin (Yuki) of Tokyo, Japan, and Quinton Anderson of Eugene, Oregon; one grandson and seven granddaughters. He also had the following stepchildren, Allen (Sheri) Kroska of Onamia, Janet (Steve) Martin of St Cloud and Pamela Kroska of St Cloud; one step-grandson and seven step-daughters plus seven step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Terry (Sharon) Anderson of Litchfield, Leif (Kathy) Anderson of Litchfield, Lindsay (Helena) Anderson of Chewelah, Washington, and Brett (Tracy) Anderson of Estero, Florida.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father Bruce Edgar Anderson in May 1977; and his mother Marilyn Elaine Anderson in September 1995.
