Beer approval – Joker IIPA, Hopworks Urban Brewery

Hopworks Urban Brewery just announced the return of Joker IIPA. This is the second year the brewery has produced this cloudy double IPA. Here is the brewery’s announcement.

Joker Hazy IIPA is returning to Hopworks for the second year

PORTLAND, Ore. March 10, 2021 – Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB), the first B Corp brewery in the Pacific Northwest, has released Joker Imperial Hazy IPA for the second time.

“Every year, like a real court jester, the Joker will be a wildcard when it comes to hops and malt. So enjoy this year’s game and look forward to a fresh, new Joker in 2022,” said Matt Speckenbach. Head brewer at Hopworks. “You might also notice a big 13 on the skull of this year’s label, which means our 13th anniversary! Stay tuned if we want to celebrate our anniversary in our brewpubs on Earth Day this year. ”

Joker Imperial Hazy IPA is available through April at both Powell Mothership, 2944 SE Powell Blvd., and HUB Vancouver, 17707 SE Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, Washington.

Joker Imperial Hazy IPA

With a large body and low bitterness, Joker Imperial Hazy IPA is bursting with tropical fruits and spices supplied by hops from Kashmir, Chinook and Kohatu. Joker achieved 8.1% ABV and 55 IBU.
