AquaSox’s Marlowe named High-A West player of the month

Cade Marlowe is the third AquaSox player in as many months to receive the award.

Everett AquaSox outfielder Cade Marlowe was named High-A West’s Player of the Month in July.

Marlowe is the third AquaSox player in as many months to receive the award. He joins former Everett outfielders Jack Larsen (May) and Zach DeLoach (June), both of whom have since been promoted to Double-A Arkansas.

It’s also Marlowe’s second Player of the Month award this season. He was named Low-A West’s Player of the Month in May when he played for the Modesto Nuts.

Marlowe beat .245 with six home runs, two triples and 11 doubles in 26 games in July. It recorded a .348 on-base percentage and a .582 slugging percentage for the month.

Since Marlowe was promoted to AquaSox in mid-June, he’s beating 0.242 with seven homers, three triples and 14 doubles in 37 games. It has a .317 on-base percentage and a .517 slugging percentage over that distance.

Marlowe is ranked No. 27 in the Seattle Mariners organization by MLB.com. The 24-year-old left-handed was selected in the 20th round of the 2019 MLB draft by the Mariners of the University of West Georgia.
