A shocking and heartbreaking exit rocks the house – Everett Post

The Bachelorette continued on Monday with the shocking and heartbreaking exit of a suitor, leaving the rest of the men doubting where they stand Katie.

The episode began with a friendship contest for the remaining 12 men drawn up by Katie and mentors Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe. The three wanted to find out who among the suitors – to borrow a sentence from a classic Seinfeld episode – was “the master of his own domain”.

Under the name “Operation: WOWO” the men promised to forego “self-sufficiency” for the rest of the competition.

Back to the real business Justin got the first personal date – sort of a rehearsal for their potential big day, when he and Katie had to write and recite their marriage vows.

Katie admitted the date was tough and tearfully declared that her father, who she had lost to cancer, couldn’t give her up. She also announced that she learned shortly before his death that he was not her birth father. Despite her real father’s attempt to reach for the hand, Katie said he could never replace the man who raised her.

Justin’s promise to support Katie and be there for her “no matter what”, along with his ability to listen to her, resonated with her. Believing that his caring nature would make him a great husband, Katie awarded him the Date Rose. Then they danced slowly to MAX with his song “Butterflies”.

Next up, Katie has recruited the winners of the RuPaul Drag Race All-Star Shea Couleé and Monét X change in a group date that is engaging Blake, Andreas, Michael A., Gregor, Aaron, Mike P., Brendan, James, Three and Hunter in a “grand royal debate” to prove why they deserved to compete with Katie rather than the other suitors.

When pressed to pick the man they thought was the least compatible with Katie, Hunter was the unanimous choice, which aroused their suspicions. Later, at the after party, James, Tre and Aaron used their time with Katie to create more doubts about Hunter’s character, which confused the bachelor and literally made her sick. She ended the date abruptly and informed the men that they would not get a rose.

Another single date, this time with me Connor B.She started off with a special double date with Bristowe and her fiancé Jason Tartick. Katie previously admitted that she and Connor are still in the “friendship zone” and hoped that the date would change that. After a last kiss between the two had not ignited a “spark”, Katie informed Connor that he would go home.

In a break with tradition, Connor personally told the remaining suitors that he was leaving, resulting in an emotional goodbye that shocked them all because the Tennessee-based math teacher was once considered the one to beat. His departure made everyone question their own future with Katie.

The tension became even more intense after Katie canceled the pre-Rose Ceremony cocktail party, revealing that she had already made up her mind. Fed up with the drama, she sent James, Tre, Aaron and Hunter home.

The Bachelorette will air on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
