4 spots around Seattle to celebrate National Ice Cream Day

This is your sign to celebrate National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 17. You’ll also be supporting some of our favorite local shops when you stop in for a scoop or two. Here are some ideas to celebrate:

Frankie & Jo’s

Party with Frankie & Jo’s at an ice cream social from 11 am to 3 pm at KEXP this Sunday.

Frankie and Jo’s are women-owned and serve 100% vegan, plant-based, gluten-free (and delicious) ice cream.

If you can’t make it to the ice cream social, find a shop near or check your frozen dessert aisle at select local grocers. Details here.

Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw is known for unconventional flavors that just work. (Goat Cheese Marionberry Habanero, anyone?) Their latest offering has that same don’t-knock-it-til-you-try-it vibe that we are here for: Ice cream perfume.

It’s called Culinary Perfume™, an Edible Fragrance. The purpose is to appeal to your olfactory senses as your sight and taste usually do the heavy lifting.

Spritzes of their three new scents/flavors are free on National Ice Cream Day. curious? Find locations here.

Molly Moon’s

Molly Moon’s has a special offer for National Ice Cream Day if you can prove you deserve it! Stop in with any Molly Moon’s apparel for a free single scoop.

Or if you’ve made your passion permanent with an ice cream tattoo, that’ll get you a free scoop, too!

Find Molly Moon’s locations here.

La Michoacana

This adorable shop in Renton serves up Mexican-inspired ice cream flavors and cold treats.

The dessert and ice cream shop La Michoacana opened earlier this year and offers authentic Mexican desserts like Paletas, Bolis, Churros, MangoHelada Cups and so much more!
