  1. The City of Spokane reminds residents to properly dispose of batteries on National Battery Day and following last weeks fire at the Waste to Energy Facility. Investigators were unable to confirm what started the fire but they think it might have been an improperly disposed lithium battery. These batteries are found in a large number of household appliances due to their ability to hold a large amount of energy and they are rechargeable. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Paul McCartney has decided to perform at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. McCartney is a musical legend who was an integral part of The Beatles. His Apr. 28 stop at the Spokane Arena will be the official start of his tour that is sweeping across the nation. (NBC Right Now)
  3. After an autopsy, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man who was found dead on the side of the road. Initially, the office assumed the victim’s death was a hit and run but reports indicate that no collision was involved in the man’s untimely death. While investigators continue their work, the stretch of road between South Evergreen Road and South Best Road will be closed to traffic. (KHQ Right Now)
